Ukraine Refugee Assistance

The crisis in Ukraine is devastating and has had a profound effect on the citizens living there. The personal calamities happening in Ukraine are even more disastrous than what’s visible on the news. A small group of concerned citizens have put aside their safety and are doing something about it.

The Responsibility Foundation wants to support the efforts of this small rescue group. Our CEO, Emily Thorson, has been working with this small network of responsible citizens to help them escape war and get to safe harbor nations surrounding Ukraine. Women and children already brought to safety are deferring supplies received to those still suffering behind enemy lines.

We need more help to get resources directly to those taking action. This small group of volunteers is secretly risking their lives to bring others to safety. Using their cars as escape vehicles, they’ve tapped into an underground network of Ukrainians trying to sneak out of cities under attack. The goal of this mission is to rescue as many women and children as possible and drive them straight to the border. Along their way they will drop off supplies to orphanages, hospitals, schools, and war torn cities. These heroes bring hope from the borders as they smuggle many to safety.

Their stories and personal sacrifice to rescue others is the ultimate demonstration of bravery and responsibility. Many drive 8+ hours each day in dangerous conditions.
